Our Response to COVID-19

We at Marand Builders recognize the ongoing concern about Coronavirus (COVID-19). Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our staff, clients, and vendors. Here are the precautionary steps we are taking as instructed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):

1. Providing all jobsites and work environments with regular hand soap and sanitizers with a solution that contains 60% or more of alcohol

2. Practicing forms of social distancing to avoid close contact

3. Cleaning high contact surfaces with disinfecting solutions such as sprays or wipes

4. Adequately covering coughs and sneezes. Keep in mind, the CDC does not recommend face masks for prevention

5. Waiving the cost of COVID-19 test kits to employees who are covered under our medical insurance plan

6. Encouraging employees to work from home

We encourage your companies to be flexible with employees who ask to stay home due to either not feeling well themselves or wanting to self-quarantine because a family member is sick. In the case that you or one of your employees develops COVID-19 symptoms or know of an exposure risk, please contact our Safety Manager, Suzanne Richards, at 704-533-4400 so that we can follow the proper procedures.

In addition to following the steps outlined above, we have halted and suspended all unnecessary work travel. Members of senior leadership are reviewing recommendations daily and will adjust policies and protocols as needed following the recommendations of the US Centers for Disease Control and the U.S. White House COVID-19 Task Force. We will provide updates as needed and let you know of any office closures.
